Mark Goodchild originally started welding aged 15 in a Blacksmiths making decorative wrought iron lighting. Mark then at the age of 22 moved onto being a mobile welder within the construction industry and has worked on large scale projects such as The Channel Tunnel, The Olympic Park, Wembley Stadium, The Shard, Heathrow Express and most recently various London Crossrail projects. Mark uses the location of the place where the piece of scrap metal is from to name the sculpture once completed.

During his time as a mobile welder Mark has used his creative flair and crafted sculptures using salvaged metal that has been discarded. Mark has been creating sculpture in his spare time for the last 15 years and has exhibited in several local galleries including The Red Biddy Galley, where he has successfully sold pieces of the collection.

Mark is available to discuss his current collection and individual commissions.
